Title: Keep your home cool the Green Way

By: A. Pasma, 2013-08-06 11:15:21

I recently came across an excellent article from Oakville Today outlining the benefits of shade trees. Did you know that Shade trees can drop temperatures on a property by several degrees, reducing dependency on air conditioners? The article also provided a great list of trees that are best for providing shade. Some examples are the Silver Maple, Little Leaf Linden, White Oak, Virginia Pine, Chinese Elm, American Beech, Autumn Blaze Maple and the Bald Cypress.

Title: Emerald Ash Borer in Oakville

By: A. Pasma, 2013-07-26 10:37:33

There was a good article in the Oakville Beaver discussing the affects EAB has on residents wallets. As a company that consistently removes Ash trees in the Oakville area, I can offer a little advice to keep the cost down. If you notice your tree is beginning to look like its dying, contact a tree removal company, like us, right away. The cost tends to go up when removing an extremely dead tree, as they are most hazardous. If you are considering treating your Ash tree, don't delay, there is only a small window of time where the treatment is effective. If you would like to take a look at the article, here is a link: http://www.insidehalton.com/news-story/3907513-emerald-ash-borer-digs-into-wallets/

By: A. Pasma, 2013-06-19 08:37:45

I read an article in the Toronto Star this morning about some large old trees being removed for more space for new condos. It's a good read. I am in the business of removing trees, and even I know when its gone too far. Have a look at the article from the link below: http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2013/06/19/trees_come_down_on_bloor_and_condos_will_go_up.html
