Title: Emerald Ash Borer in Oakville

By: A. Pasma, 2013-07-26 10:37:33

There was a good article in the Oakville Beaver discussing the affects EAB has on residents wallets. As a company that consistently removes Ash trees in the Oakville area, I can offer a little advice to keep the cost down. If you notice your tree is beginning to look like its dying, contact a tree removal company, like us, right away. The cost tends to go up when removing an extremely dead tree, as they are most hazardous. If you are considering treating your Ash tree, don't delay, there is only a small window of time where the treatment is effective. I read an article in the Toronto Star this morning about some large old trees being removed for more space for new condos. It's a good read. I am in the business of removing trees, and even I know when its gone too far. Title: Oakville loves its Oak trees

By: A. Pasma, 2013-05-22 07:33:29

The Town of Oakville and its residents have gone to great lengths to save the Oak tree on Bronte Rd, and now another 80 year old Oak has been protected. It is located on Town property and will remain the Towns tree, as they declined an offer from a builder to purchase the land, even with a guarantee of protection for the tree. Title: Oakville fears Gypsy Moth Infestation

By: A. Pasma, 2013-05-13 13:56:10

The Town of Oakville has been fighting endlessly against the Emerald Ash Borer in an effort to save the Ash trees in Oakville. Now they have another issue to attend to. It is suspected we could now be facing a problem with the Gypsy Moth which most commonly attacks the leaves of Oak trees. The Town has begun injecting Oak trees with the same product used to fight off the Emerald Ash borer.
