Shape: Can be round decurrent, or pyrmidal. Very dense canopy.
Trunk: Wood is greyish greenish brown. Long vertical small bark lines. Very slippery when wet. Trunk is normally very short, and multiple branching takes place at approx 10 - 20 ft.
Wood: Very soft and light. Very good for carving. The wood is very light in color, almost white.
Branches: The branching structure is very upward dominant. There are many small branches which makes the majority of the trees appearance. The branches are very soft and fragile under weight.
Description: This tree is commonly planted in residential areas, and on streets. This tree generally stays within its crown and doesnt grow wildly out of control. This tree doesnt require alot of pruning other than crown lifting.
