Subject: Emerald Ash Boer

A few years ago the Emerald Ash Bug ariived in a skid from China to Detroit. The bug then flew away and took only a short time untill it arrived in Oakville. It is concentrated in the Uppermiddle area. There have been many attempts to cure it, however unsucessful. It takes only a few years until your tree looses its life and dies. There is a new experimental injection that came out this spring. I will keep you updated with its results.

Here is an example of the Emerald Ash Boer. You can see the CAPITAL D enterance hole and then the tunneling in does along the underside of the bard. Without peeling the bark off to see if your tree has it, Look for the Capital D hole. It is a tell tale sign for bug presence. It multiplies as time goes on, and needs to be pruned out immediately.

Here you can see the hole the bug enters and the chewing to the soft tissue of the tree
