Subject: How to Sharpen a Chain Saw

There are many different ways to sharpen a chain saw. There are a few different methods to sharpen a chain.

1. With a single file, by hand.

2. With a file used through a guide.

3. With a machine angle grinder set to proper angles.

The most important thing to remember is not to have the chain touch the ground. When you are cutting logs on the ground, cut 3/4 of the way through and then roll it over and cut the remaining 1/4. If the saw touches the ground it is almost immediately necessary to sharpen it. Once you are cutting with dull chainsaw, the bar starts to overheat and can cause numerous problems throughout the chainsaw.
