Size: Approximately 60 - 70 ft tall in the open
Shape: Upright, straight, and rounded crown, dense canopy unless pruned.
Trunk: Very straight and then branching to multiple leaders. Very smooth bark
Wood: The wood is very light and soft. This is great for carving. The wood is not very good for fireplaces.
Branches: The branches always grow upwards with the leaves drooping with weight. There are many small branches that make up the canopy from the trunk.
Description: These trees are great for residental properties. They provide great shade. These trees commonly get leaf galls which arent harmful to the life of the tree. Raking up all you leaves in the fall will help prevent but not entirely. These trees are generally pollution and weather tolerant.
